Frequently Asked Questions

You likely have many questions on your mind. I hope that I can provide answers to some of them for you right here:

  • In our sessions, I’ll listen to your concerns and work with you to identify your needs and goals. I aim to provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment for exploring your sexuality or intimacy issues.

  • In a session with me, the focus is always on you and your unique needs. The process is client-led, meaning that we go at a pace that feels comfortable and empowering for you. Each session is embodied, which means that we work not only with your thoughts and feelings but also with your physical experiences. This approach can help you become more in tune with your body and its sensations, which is especially important when addressing intimacy, sexual health, and emotional well-being.

  • I am LGBTQI+ and all abilities friendly. I strive to create a space that is inclusive and affirming of all identities, abilities, sexual orientations, and relationship structures. Whether you're exploring your gender identity, navigating sexual orientation, or working through intimacy issues in relationships, you can expect a respectful, non-judgmental environment where all expressions of sexuality are welcomed and supported.

  • Yes, I have experience supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism and ADHD. I strive to create a safe, understanding, and judgment-free space tailored to each person's unique needs and preferences. My approach is flexible and empathetic, ensuring that communication, resources, and strategies align with what feels most comfortable and effective for you.

  • The therapy process is consent-based — every step is collaborative, and you are always in control. This means that we will discuss the approach, the exercises, or the techniques I may suggest beforehand, ensuring that you feel safe and comfortable throughout. You can ask questions, express concerns, and adjust the pace or direction of the session as needed.

  • The goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your sexuality and intimacy needs without fear of shame or criticism. Whether we're working on improving communication in relationships, addressing intimacy challenges, or exploring somatic exercises, everything is tailored to meet you where you're at without judgement.

  • You can expect each session to be personalised, with techniques that might include mindfulness practices, breathwork, body awareness, educational discussions and counselling support. These tools help promote deeper awareness and healing while respecting your boundaries and personal journey.

  • I work with clients on a range of topics, including sexual education, intimacy support, and managing problem sexual behaviours. If you’re self-funded, or receiving NDIS funding, are self-managed, or have been referred by a plan manager, clinical psychologist, or other practitioner for support around sexuality and intimacy, my services are a good fit.

  • Yes, I offer services that are fundable under the NDIS for eligible participants. Contact me to discuss how your plan can support your sessions.
